School pick up and drop off times are extremely busy periods on both roads and pavements around the school. The front of the school can get very busy with cars parked in and around the layby and over the road. There are children and parents crossing the road, as well as walking in groups on the pavement towards and away from the school. The road at the front of the school is also very busy with cars travelling through the village at these times and having lots of parked cars in front of the school may not only cause a potential obstruction but could also impair the view of those driving past.

Road safety is everyone’s responsibility.

For this reason, please note that if you are travelling to school via car, either for pick up or drop off, please park at the village hall car park and walk to the back gate.

Even if you usually walk to school and use the front gate but need to occasionally arrive by car, please do use the back gate.
