NCMP & Vision Screening for Reception and Y61 October 2024 (by Hayley Armstrong (admin)) |
For parents of children in Reception and Year 6
Each year in England, school children in Reception and Year 6 have their height and weight checked at school as part of the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP). Children in Reception also have a vision screening test.
This year, our school will be visited by the School Nursing Team on Tuesday 5th November at 1pm to carry out the NCMP and vision screening checks.
A letter from the school nursing team containing full details of the programme for parents of children in Reception and a separate letter with information for parents of children in Year 6, can be found on the Letters and Forms page of the school website: Andoversford Primary School - Letters & Forms
Here you will also find the Gloucestershire NCMP Privacy Notice, too. Taking part in the programme is optional and both letters contain a link to opt your child out if you wish. You can also call 0300 421 8225 if you do not wish for your child to be screened.
For further details, please do feel free to get in touch with the school office.
