South Gloucestershire and Stroud College (SGS) are offering a FREE Introduction to Makaton course at their Stroud Campus, GL5 4AH.

Makaton is a multi-modal language programme that uses signs, symbols and speech to enable those who struggle with verbal communication to express their thoughts, feelings and needs.

This bespoke session will focus on appropriate vocabulary of signs and symbols and will look at finger spelling, communication skills as a whole and understanding of language, speech and language development.

The course will take place on Wednesday 26^th June from 7pm – 8.30pm and will be a fun, informal session with a chance to practise the signs and symbols taught with each other and learn a new skill.
