The Government have pledged to provide all state-funded schools across England with an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) by the end of 2023. Defibrillators have the potential to save the lives of pupils, staff and visitors in schools, with latest research showing that accessing these devices within 3-5 minutes of a cardiac arrest increases the chance of survival by over 40%.

We have now received and registered our defibrillator.  It is available for community use during school hours.  There are now 3 AED's in Andoversford; one in the phone box on Old Gloucester Road, one in the school office and one on the outside wall of the Community Church on Station Road, opposite the post office.  Please share this information with members of the community so that if they need urgent access to a device, they know where they are located.
