Celebrations all around!17 March 2023 (by Rachel Bradley McKay (Head)) |
Congratulations to the ASPIRE Award winners this week. They have worked hard to show the school core values in their learning. We were particularly impressed to see one pupil gain an award for the respect she shows the school environment by recycling the food waste at snack-times. It was great to see a Marvellous Mathematician this week too!
It has been a busy week in school with a pop-up book shop, parent and toddler session and First Aid workshops! We are very proud to offer such fantastic opportunities for our school community. The book shop was very well attended and we had great feedback about both the format and selection of books available. Thank you to everyone who came along to support us. We were able to use the school commission to support some new books for the school library.
In the First Aid workshops, all classes worked with Vicky from ERFA to learn how to stay safe in an emergency, when to call for help and how - including how to make an emergency call on a mobile phone if you do not know the passcode. Ask your child if they know how to do this!
Buttercups were victorious in the ASPIRE Point challenge this week. The current totals are:
Bluebell = 1,069
Buttercup = 1,145
Rose = 1, 337
Thistle = 1, 314
Whole School Total = 4, 865
Our target of 6,500 is getting closer!
Have a great weekend!
