Easter Class Competitions!

15 February 2023 (by Ellie Gunnell (EGunnell))

Easter will soon be upon us so it is time to reveal what the children will be making for the Easter Class Competitions! Please see the details below for each class. Inside the file you will find examples of each of the activities to help inspire you! This can also be found on the class pages of our website. Entries should be made at home and brought in on the last day of term- Friday 31st March. We can’t wait to see what the children create!

Ash

This year, Ash will be making their own Easter bonnets! You can decorate your bonnet however you wish to and we will be looking forward to seeing your creations in our bonnet parade.

Oak

Oak Class will be making their own Egg Nest Table Decoration! The egg inside can be decorated however you like. Please note that this will need to be a separate egg to the one used in the whole-school egg rolling. You may wish to use materials from outside to help you make your nest- it is completely up to you.

Beech

Beech Class' Easter challenge is to create hanging decorations for an Easter tree (like an Easter themed bauble). They could use real eggs, but may find those made from polystyrene, papier mache or salt dough easier to hang and decorate (or may choose a different shape). They should have the theme of Spring/Easter, and children can use whichever materials they would like to do this- whether paint, felt tip pens, sequins, natural materials or any other ideas! Children can choose whether they would like to make a set, or focus their efforts on one special decoration.

Willow

This year, Willow Class will be making Easter-themed biscuits! The biscuits are to be handmade and decorated but must relate to Easter. They can be all different shapes and sizes and can include a variety of ingredients. It would be even better if, when the biscuits are brought into school on the last day of term, the recipe is included!

P.S. In all the excitement around these activities, please don’t forget to decorate your spoon for World Book Day too!
