Support from the community6 October 2022 (by Rachel Bradley McKay (Head)) |
This week, the site has undergone some improvements thanks to our friends at Ontic. Ontic are an international aerospace company who work in engineering and manufacturing with a base locally in Bishops Cleeve. They have been fantastic community partners to us here at Andoversford and have now completed several big projects around the site by donating labour and materials. We are incredibly grateful to the volunteers who have given up time to help make our amazing school site even better for the children.
Ash Class are incredibly excited about the opportunities their new summerhouse will bring. The teachers can't wait to plan a range of busy learning tasks to utilise the space. It is wonderful to have more options to work in different parts of the Early Years environment, especially as we know that some children really enjoy the chance to work outdoors!
In the nature area, the team from Ontic have been able to remove some old fencing and open up the space to the field with newly created pathways. This will allow children to explore new areas and make the most of the fantastic facilities we have. They have given the brambles and hedges a good trim as part of the ongoing maintenance which means children can access the whole space.
The whole school community will benefit from these changes! Thank you so much!
