KS2 Assessment Week Breakfast29 April 2022 (by Rachel Bradley McKay (Head)) |
Very soon, our Year 6 pupils will be completing their end of Key Stage 2 assessments. At Andoversford, we keep the test week as normal as possible to help pupils stay calm and focused. The tests can be daunting, as they will be the biggest academic event that our pupils have faced so far. Even though they are important, we know that the tests measure just one element of our pupils' development. We are very proud of all of their achievements - it is great to see so many children sharing their artbooks, models, certificates and trophies at the moment!
In the morning before the tests, all Year 6 pupils are invited to attend a free breakfast, so that they can start the day calm and settled. Children in Year 6 can arrive at school at 8:20 to tuck into some toast and juice! You do not need to pre-book, we will have enough for everyone who wants to take part.
In these last few weeks, it is important to reduce stresses and keep routines as normal as possible. Remember to keep reading and get enough sleep!
