Our local Schoolbeat Officer from the Tewkesbury Neighbourhood Policing Team at Gloucestershire Constabulary has recommended that all parents and carers are made aware of the efforts to protect all young people from the threat of knife and weapons crime. 

The Schoolbeat team consist of seven police officers who are designated to certain areas across Gloucestershire, covering both primary and secondary schools.  The main responsibilities of a Schoolbeat Officer is to build trusting relationships with students from Year 6 through to Year 9, but this is applicable to all age groups.
