Two local GP-led vaccination sites are holding a ‘last chance’ drop-in service on Saturday 17 July for anyone over the age of 18 who has yet to take up the offer of their first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. The clinics will also be offering second doses of Astra Zeneca to anyone who had their first dose at least 8 weeks ago.

The vaccination is our best chance of protecting ourselves from the most severe symptoms of COVID-19.

Vaccinated people are far less likely to get symptoms from Covid-19 and are even more unlikely to get seriously ill, be admitted to hospital or to die from it. There’s growing evidence that vaccinated people are less likely to pass the virus to others.  

You don’t have to be registered with any of the GP practices, just drop-in between 10am and 2pm.

People should not attend the drop-in service if:

• they have already made an appointment at a vaccination centre in the county
• they have symptoms of COVID-19 or have had a positive COVID-19 test within the last 4 weeks.
